Normally stupid people I just ignore or look at them like they don’t matter. That is hard and I don’t like living that way and don’t and didn’t teach my son to be like that. Sometimes people just get to me and I can’t help saying something. My neighborhood is like one of the best in the states or I like to think so.

When I moved in here a few years ago it was like moving back in time when neighbors knew each other and looked out for each other. When we moved the neighbor guys come over ask if they could help with the big items the women came over with sandwiches and drinks and I thought this is the neighborhood I want my son to grow up in.

The thought crossed my mind what they going to think or do when they find out I’m gay. Well it didn’t take but a few days to find out one of the ladies in the neighborhood brought over some cookies and I ask her if she wanted a cup of coffee and she agreed. Now I knew she was the one asked to come over feel me out get the gossip you know the type. So after a while of small talk she ask me about my son’s mom and where is she and what happen you know the questions.

Well I decided I was going to be honest tell the truth and if they didn’t like me well screw them. I think she was shocked at first but totally had an understanding look on her face she said she wouldn’t tell anyone I told it didn’t matter I was going to be true to myself well you know she couldn’t help but to call everyone. The guys at first was a little shy but once they found out I like sports and fishing and I could work on a car I think I open there minds up and the gay thing they had in there mind wasn’t me. Don’t get me wrong I like shopping and shoes like the any other gay guy!

One neighbor well she very upset that a gay was living in the neighborhood and she made living here a hell for a little while she called the police on us called child services on me and even went as far as putting signs in her yard saying gays lived down the street watch your kids. She did all she could and yes I went around with her a couple times and I thought I am not wasting my time on stupid people so I started to ignore her and made sure when I seen her I kissed a guy just to piss her off.

Well I found out she was one of those bible thumping people and she also was a drink a couple months ago she got busted for dui after living the country club. Me being me I couldn’t help putting a sign in my yard saying there is a drunk down the road that drives watch your kids! The neighbors came up to me and told me how much they loved my sign!!!
